We came out of banking and technology, and we have run businesses of our own. Lume is where that goes now: building the web presence that small and medium businesses rarely have time to get right.

We work from Switzerland with clients across Poland, the United States, Canada, and the rest of Europe. We started with restaurants and cafés because the gap is easiest to see there — a good room with no site, or one nobody has touched in years. The same problem turns up everywhere, so we now also build for hair and beauty studios, wellness practices, shops and other local businesses.

You deal with us directly. There is no account manager, no ticket queue, and no handoff to somebody you have not met.

The people

Paula Majder

Co-founder

Paula Majder is a finance and project management professional with international experience across banking, technology, and infrastructure delivery.

She holds a bachelor's in finance and accounting from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and a master's in project management from Northeastern University, with an exchange semester at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Her career has spanned Accenture, Credit Suisse, UBS, Equatex, and Arup — across Poland, Singapore, the United States, Canada, and now Switzerland.

Throughout her professional life, she enjoys reading what a place or business actually needs rather than applying one playbook everywhere. She speaks Polish and English, is learning German, and stays closely engaged with the women-in-tech community and the AI movement.

That same instinct — building things that fit the people and businesses in front of it — is what she brings to Lume.

Melinda Hamidi

Co-founder

Mélinda Hamidi is an Engineer and Finance professional with international experience across private banking, venture capital, trading, and project management.

After starting her career in Luxembourg and the UAE, she has been based in Switzerland since 2022, working with leading institutions including Société Générale, Credit Suisse, and UBS.

Throughout her professional life, she enjoys turning complex challenges into practical, impactful solutions. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish, with notions in German and Arabic.

Beyond her professional career, she is a Chapter Lead for Women in Digital Switzerland, where she contributes to building connections, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for women in the digital and technology space.

At Lume, she applies that same mindset — creating purposeful digital experiences that guide people forward.
